Right now, i have this very important news to release. It is regarding the Annual St. John Flag Day!! Starting from this year, only cadets from Secondary 3 and above will be allowed to take part. So it means this is probably your last chance ever to do a flag day.... A letter will be mailed to your house so please check your mailbox within the next few days and show your parents the letter.
Please note that unless you are overseas or unwell on the actual day, attendance is compulsory as this is a school event.
How does it benefit you you may ask. It is a meaningful event and think about this, how many school events can let you earn 8 CIP hours?? Remember this, CIP hours contribute to your CCA points and grade!
In the event you will be overseas (inform us earlier!) or fall ill on the day, please contact the school office at 6273 6265 to leave a message to inform the SJAB teachers. Failure to provide a photocopy of the air ticket or a medical certificate when school reopens will result in disciplinary actions being taken.
Alright, this is what is going to happen on 29th December! :)
You will first report to school for attendance taking and collection of the donation tins before proceeding to selected locations such as Bugis, Holland Village and Orchard Road as a group together with a few other cadets and your IC. You will report back to the teachers in school by 4pm to return all donations collected. Have your breakfast before reporting to school as you will only get your 45-minute lunch break at 12noon.
It is not long after Christmas and since it is the season of doing good things for others, you should all aim to collect as much donations as you can! AHEM! The teachers will be doing spot checks! Do know that the money raised will be used to help the Brigade runs its operations and thereafter help the public. :))
Venue to report to: Henderson Secondary School (Foyer)
Date: 29 December 2010, Wednesday
Time: 7am – 4pm (Lunch Break from 12noon to 12.45pm)
Attire: Half SJ Uniform (with either HSS T-shirt or SJ T-shirt)
Things to bring: EZ link card, enough cash for lunch.
There is no reply slip to be returned for the acknowledge letter that you will receive. However, if your parents have any query, please contact the school to leave a message.
